I’d been wanting to have a couple of floors redone, but was worried that one of them was hopeless.  It was stained and gouged ... simply a floor that needed to be replaced, or so I thought.  My son recently contracted Ty’s Floor Service to do one of his floors.  After looking at the major improvement in his home, I decided to make that one call that just could possibly save that floor.

Ty and his crew were quite confident about their ability to restore my floors to good health.  Of course, I wasn’t as confident as they were, but decided to hire them on.  The process was a three-day one, the first being the longest.  Ty, Jamie, and Hunter worked together on what I thought couldn’t be done.  They also did what’s called a “screening” on another floor, keeping the old patina, but making it sparkle.

Instead of a junk and storage room, it’s now a room we can be proud of.  People who saw the old floor and the results are amazed, as am I.  The price was more than equitable, the crew friendly and efficient.  Once done there was simply a tiny bit of sawdust that had crept down through a register.  I’m so pleased (thrilled actually) that I’m going to try to get them to come back next year and work their “magic” on my floors downstairs.  Experience, efficiency, and good old-fashioned New England workmanship!
